The largest prize pool ever was announced by Bodog Poker site, with the main tournament giving away $300,000. Total cash for the eight day poker tournament will be higher than $650,000, throughout the weeklong poker tournament. The Bodog Texas Hold em tournament will begin Sunday, September 28th and continues until Sunday, October 5th. The popular poker website will also feature six “Bounty” events, where the competitors can win $109 in tournament credits for each Team Bodog poker competitor they knock out of the poker tournament. The biggest poker celebs will be playing all participators in the poker contest.

Team Bodog pro, Justin Bonomo, is indisputably excited about the event. Throughout his poker career, the 23 year old has made over $1.4 million. He says that if you thought the first Texas Hold em tournament was huge, you will definitely be stunned with this year’s poker open and the grand prize money involved. He also challenges anyone that dares to knock him out of the Bounty Tournament to step forward.

The opening Bounty Tournament will be the first poker game in the contest on Sunday. Any poker player is able to buy-In straight, and any of the other poker events with cash. Or another alternative is to win their way into the poker events through the satellites which are presented every night during the poker championship week. Bodog will have six bounty events and seven “Championship Events”, which have higher buy-ins and deeper stacks.

Bodog’s event will have thirteen contests which will lead up to the main tournament on Sunday, October 5 at 4:00 p.m. E.S.T. This is the poker championship with a guaranteed $300,000 in hard cash, despite the amount of Texas Hold em players in the Bodog Open. All the poker challengers who wish to enter the main tournament will have to pay $500 for the buy-in and in exchange will collect 10,000 in poker chips
